Mr. Mthokozisi Phuthi

Mthokozisi is a seasoned reinsurance practitioner with extensive experience in Sub-Sahara Africa. His 15-year experience has seen him assume technical positions at reputable reinsurers such as Munich Re (Mauritius).

He is an intrapreneur with a track record of leveraging the various internal resources of a reinsurer in delivering top line premium growth underpinned by sustainable underwriting profitability.

Prior to joining the WAICA Re team Mr. Phuthi was the Senior Regional underwriter at Kuwait Re responsible for business development and underwriting across Sub-Sahara Africa. Mthokozisi holds an Associateship with the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK .

He is also Certified Member of the Institute of Risk Management (CMIRM), UK. Mthokozisi has also carried several technical skills development seminars in major insurance markets such as Nigeria and
Mauritius.
